Story in Four Panels

The Issue

Or: the underlying problem

Where an almost-dutiful student sits.

He told one about a trip to Italy first.

And this is why I should never sit in the front on the first day.

  1. I had no idea you were scared, you pulled it off brilliantly. And this story in four panels is brilliant, fine, fine work.

  2. I know your professor- he looks exactly like that. There should be more yellow color around his collar ;-)

    Love the pictures!

  3. Haha! I am SO glad I was in the back! I had some time to prepare! :p

  4. @Jim Groom: I tend to be deceptive like that. Spanish class prepared me to look much more confident than I felt.

@ Alan Levine: I’ll have to remember that next time I draw him. ;B

@cali4beach: Hey! You were in my Graphic Novels class last semester! Good to see you again!
I like going second or third. It gives me enough time to rehearse, but not enough time to compound the fear.

  5. You and I see Jim Groom in very similar ways (a mass of hair, glasses and maniacal eyes) and we are both stunningly accurate in our depictions.

  6. I love your drawing of yourself. You should totally represent yourself that way all over the internet. xD <3

  7. I agree with Emily, that image should become your new digital identity. Wear it proudly ^^

  8. I love this. The only thing I don’t like is that you say that picture doesn’t really look like Jim. It looks *exactly* like him. In fact, I screamed girlishly when I saw the picture because I actually thought Jim was IN my computer.

  9. @Tom, @Martha: I’m glad you think so, but I think there’s something vaguely not Jim Groom about the representation. Rest assured, I’ll probably get plenty of practice over this semester.

@Emily, @Jenn: I would, but I’m afraid that it would give people the impression that I am constantly saying things in a crazed, overexcited manner.

Now, I realize that that might be true, but who wants to broadcast that fact?
